Born in Paris and raised in New Caledonia Pierre Constans has always been involved in horticulture. He was the owner of a landscaping company for 19 years in French Polynesia. His longtime interest in Permaculture was strengthened by his association wil Bill Mollison during the 1970's. Pierre holds numerous Permaculture certifications.
    During the 1990's he taught and worked in California. Projects included ponds, creek restorations, mandala gardens, demonstration of sustainable gardening practices, viticulture, straw bale construction and community composting systems. Pierre is a competent instructor, offering workshops in areas such as grafting, purning, garden design, land use and backyard orchards.
