An invitation to our annual

'ALL ABOUT FRUIT DAY!'

The third Saturday of June, (June 21, 2008)
We are open 9am > 5pm.

Take a guided tour of our orchard, learn about horticultural techniques, take advantage of our annual plant sale, listen to music. Ask your gardening questions.
Since our nursery borders the George Washington Forest & Blue Ridge Mountains make a weekend out of it! Bring a box lunch and picnic.
Don't forget our Fall Fruit Festival September 20!

9:30 First tour, tours on the hour. Michael will stimulate your imagination as you see and taste some amazing trees/fruit and have your gardening questions answered.

10:00 am Pierre's Tour; see results from recent workshops, Mandala Garden, Spiral Herb garden, also pruning demo. Give Mr. Wonderful your undivided attention and you'll be dazzled and delighted.

10:30am Jeannie's workshop for kids! Jeannie's Waldorf training comes in handy, mixing it up with gardening, food and crafts. Ages 4-7, pre registration a good idea. limited.

10:45am Michael will introduce Glenn with a couple of songs.

11:00 am Glenn Clayton of Hungry Hill Farm. Glen gives you step by step instruction on making and growing your own Shiitake mushroom logs.

11:45am Kevin's Wild Salad Walk. We provide the salad dressing. Kevin and the group will gather their own salad from the wild with a walk around the nursery, learning the lore and names of what nature provides. Introduce a new variety to your gastronomical alley!

1:00pm Grafting How To. Pam & Pierre show you how to do it yourself at our Grafting Greenhouse (#14). If you want to graft your own tree they'll be an $8 charge to take it home with you.
